Tasting Notes and Australia and Margaret River and Variety and Red and cabernet et al
This has been in the bottle for over 3 years now. Perhaps this is a sign of the times - some people are doing it a bit tough. A lovely nose, showing red currants and black olives, a bit of tomato and tobacco leaf, with some capsicum. The palate displayed an engaging richness without being too sweet, with ripe blackcurrants, some tobacco and herbs, and a leafiness too. The length is good, and though there does seem to be a bit of green hardness on the finish, it is a very tidy wine at a good price.

..or they could be doing the right thing and releasing wines with an appropriate amount of bottle age.

I can’t see how $25/bt would cover that cost though.

What about $15 (or less) for 03 Philip?

Economies of scale.
In most cases I would say that a small winery just can’t afford to hold wine back.

Well. maybe they did not leave it in the cellar for that long….sounds more like leftovers from a rather bad vintage for cab sauv in Margaret River-exceptions included.Everybody including Moss Wood are having their next (here 2004) vintage outby now-normally- but they are still offering the 2003….
