Tasting Notes and Australia and Bendigo and Variety and Red and shiraz et al
Well well well this is the 2500th tasting note on Winorama in just a tick over two years and tonight, as if to rise to the occasion, every wine opened has been worthy of review. I tasted this a month or so ago and like it even better again now.
Fragrant and almost overbearingly charming with aromas of plum, berry, mint, coconut and black pepper. On the palate medium to full bodied with flavours of plum, cherry, aniseed, chocolate and coconut. Cherry Bounty Bars spring to mind but this wine is certainly more than Fun Size. It has soft fine tannins, clean acidity and a dry savoury finish that pulls everything into shape. Crowd pleasing and bloody delicious.

I was quite impressed with the 2004 version. If a recall correctly, fruit from a neighbour’s vineyard? Do you get the others to try? I think the cabernet blend very nice indeed.

There are notes on all of them if you search under BlackJack.
