Tasting Notes and France and Burgundy and Variety and Red and pinot noir

A night out at a local restaurant. The host insisted on ordering this wine which is spooky because just before I left home I received an email from Gary telling me how he liked this wine. This was the second attempt at a wine for the night and the first bottle of this was badly corked. Nice to have a great restaurant because they brought the replacement promptly. This was a bit pongy at opening but this blew off to leave cherry and a little spice, maybe a hint of plum. The palate was long and rich. A great wine that went so well with the duck.

So is that a grand cru vineyard? Or am I reading restaurant mark-up on a premier…?

Nup, beaune premier cru. You can just read it on the label - just below the top heading.
