Tasting Notes and Hunter Valley and Australia and Orange and Variety and Red and other reds
Funny wine this. Interesting. Challenging. I like it. I think.
Opens up very reduced and rubbery but settles down to show freshly laid road tar, dark cherries and currants with a violet tinted perfume. On the palate medium to full bodied with dense curranty and black cherry fruit, earth and bitter dried herbs. It has firm chalky tannins and a dense chewy texture. Finishes with bitter dark chocolate. A quirky Italian from the Hunter Valley.
