EldertonNothing like a good old ode to get the emotions stirring what! Keats “Ode To A Nightingale”, the Vogon classic “Ode to a Small Lump of Green Putty I Found in My Armpit One Midsummer Morning” and the Ashmead brothers “Ode To Lorraine”. This particular Ode is dedicated to their Mum and is a blend of 57% cabernet sauvignon, 27% shiraz and the rest is merlot.

Aromas of ripe juicy berries, plum, pepper, aniseed, mint and plenty of sweet coconut and vanilla oak. No shyness - this is a real crowd pleaser. On the palate medium to full bodied and packed with red and black berries, plum, coffee bean, licorice, vanilla and spice. Beautiful supple texture with smooth tannins and clean fresh acidity. Finishes with a very long coffee and red berry aftertaste. It’s showy and obvious but very charming. A ‘life and soul of the party’ sort of wine.
