Greenhough Hope Vineyard Chardonnay 2005 Monday, Sep 24 2007
Tasting Notes and New Zealand and Variety and White and chardonnay and Nelson
I don’t generally think much of NZ chardonnay (with a few notable exceptions) but I reckon this is pretty smart. Imported by Linear Acidity.
Aromas of citrus, stonefruit, oatmeal, a wisp of smoke and some toasty oak. On the palate plenty of flavour with intense grapefruit, lime and peach fruit backed with spicy toasty oak spread on a lightly creamy base. It has bright penetrating acidity and excellent line and length. Finishes long with some ‘lime spider’ flavours. Very nice.

Yes..I need to get cracking. I have a few dozen chards that really should have been tasted by now.

Can you advise retailer or wholesaler in Sydney to buy Greenhough?

You’ll get the sauvignon blanc and the nelson pinot at north sydney cellars. you would need to ask Jules to get the chardonnay in if that is what you are looking for.
