Hoddles Creek Estate Chardonnay 2004
By Lincoln

Pale in colour. A nose of lemon, cashews, meal, melon and a quick shake of vanilla. The palate is full and fruity, white peaches and vanilla, perhaps a bit one-dimensional, and finishes with musky fruits and lemon peel. It does however suffer from a slight abrasiveness, but this is not to say that it isn’t a good wine, because it is. And certainly at $17, and sensibly sealed under screwcap, this wine offers excellent drinking now and for a few more ages I would imagine.
