Leo Buring Clare Valley Riesling 2005 Sunday, Jan 8 2006
Tasting Notes and Australia and Clare Valley and Variety and White and riesling

Time to try the companion wine to the outstanding Eden Valley release of the same vintage.
Very spicy aromas of sweet limes, lime leaf and some florals. On the palate a rich round riesling with flavours of sweet squeezed limes and apple. Slightly coarse and lacking in purity. Lots of flavour though and a more than decent drink for the price. I think this will be at its most enjoyable as a young wine.

I heard a whisper from an inside source last night that a Buring-labeled Tasmanian Riesling isn’t too far away!

I see the riedel taster that you now spurn - so you too were once a user!

I’ll keep my youth, thanks, and being a fool can be fun.

Yep, Tassie is on the cards. Apparently they had some fruit last year but didn’t go ahead with it.
