Tasting Notes and France and Loire Valley and Variety and White and other whites
I have not been on the old Vouv for quite some time. This is the current release. The cork was unbelievable. Tight as. It must be re-corked.
Pale gold colour. Aromas of candle wax, cumquat, apple, butter and flowers. On the palate there is sweetness balanced by crisp acidity and flavours of tangerine, apple, cumquat and more waxy toasty flavours developing. Crisp but sweet finish. For those not familiar with the style - this is not a dessert wine but does carry a fair amount of sweetness. Medium sweet. I am not sure we have any white wines in this country made in a similar style.

What got me was the colour of this wine. I served this blind one night and got people to try pick the age. I don’t think anyone picked it for a wine over 10 years old.

Hey GW, any food recommendations with this one?
PS: How was Aunty Rhys yesterday?

Can I please purchase 6 bottles of Marc Bredif Vouvray 1986? I can collect it from North Sydney Cellars.
I purchased 12 bottles last year from Camperdown Cellars for $35.00 a bottle. What deal would you do for one dozen of this wine? Look forward to your response. Kind regards, Peta Forster.

Hi Peta,
you can email North Sydney Cellars if you like: shop@northsydneycellars.com .
I’m not sure if this vintage is still available, but we can find out what is if you like. Drop us a line.
(Winorama is a site dedicated to tasting notes, and is independent - it does not directly sell wine)
Cheers,
Jules

The 1985 showed mored bottle variation - I tried some cracker bottles but was disappointed with others. The 1986 batch seemed to be more consistant. I think that a small amount of 1988 came in recently(-ish) (but with a price increase) and there was a mid-90’s vintage available as well.
