This is the first in a bracket of three 06 Eden Valley rieslings and I must say this was an altogether more pleasant tasting than the recent 06 Pinot Gris session. The 2006 vintage looks pretty good. Approachable now and maybe not for long term cellaring.
Very floral with aromas of lemon, sherbert and musk. Touch of reduction. On the palate this has some weight with soft lemon/lime, floral and musky flavours. There is an attractive softness backed with tangy acid. Quite dry. Good length of flavour. Pretty smart wine.
