Penfolds Bin 51 Eden Valley Riesling 2008 Sunday, Jun 15 2008
Tasting Notes and Australia and Eden Valley and Variety and White and riesling
2008 already. Seem to have missed tasting the 2007 somewhere along the way but never mind.
Very pretty and scented to smell with roses, talc, citrus and apple. On the palate soft and fresh with beautiful (seemingly) natural acidity and gentle flavours of flowers, apple and citrus. It’s delicate, light and charming with a touch of slatey mineral grip and a good long lemon barley flavoured finish. I’d could knock a bottle of this off on my own no worries.

Gsry,
Tried to leave a post against the 2005 Cellar Reserve Gewurtz, but couldn’t? Was something along the lines of “Just drinking the last of these, beautiful wine still, with typical lychee, musk and thread of citrus. Beautiful acidity and long, balanced finish. Does anyone know where the Woodbury vinyard fruit goes when it’s not in Penfolds Cellar Reserve?”

Gary,
I’m sorry for misspelling your name. “A” and “S” are so close to one another on the keyboard…
