Tasting Notes and France and Champagne and Variety and Sparkling
It is coming up to Champagne season again and I will attempt to review as many as is humanly possible between now and NYE. A tough job I know….
Aromas of apple, lemon, flowers, vanilla, fresh bread and some mineral/sulphide characters. On the palate flavours of lemon pudding, apple, citrus and white peach with some spice and mineral. Quite an aggressive and insistent mousse although not annoying. It has good sweet fruit but also tastes dry and spicy with clean mouth freshening acidity. Finishes with apple, lemon and spice flavours. A vivacious and entertaining wine.
