Tasting Notes and Australia and Barossa Valley and Variety and Red and grenache et al
Recently released, a blend of 70% Grenache, 17% Shiraz, 13% Mataro.
An attractive nose of raspberries, woody spice (cinnamon) and new leather; nothing confected about this Grenache. The palate shows sweet red fruits, some sourness and slightly chewy tannins. The oak is nowhere to be seen (is there any at all?). Not a wine of great sophistication, but honest, fresher, fruiter and finer than the 2000. A top effort.
