Voyager Estate Chardonnay 2002
By Gary Walsh

Not tasted this one for about a year or so now so I grabbed one from the bat cave. It was served with lobster, crab and prawns and went splendidly well.
Quite yeasty and wild with grapefruit and melon fruit and just a whisper of spicy oak. On the palate very tight and focussed with citrus fruit backed up by savoury lees derived flavours. Plenty of acidity. Good mouthfeel and good length. This wine really is still a baby - leave it alone in the cellar for a few more years if you have any.
