Wynns John RiddochIt does get really tiring drinking young wine all the time so we opened this and it looked like young wine! Bugger.

Strong red colour. Aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, lead pencil, licorice and cedar. It does smell a lot like a good clean Bordeaux. On the palate full bodied with blackcurrant, raspberry, mineral and pencilly oak. Good strong fruit backed with well integrated oak. Firm but appropriate tannins and very long finish. A classic well balanced cabernet and especially good considering the modestly rated vintage. What a beauty!
